About This Event
** GUARANTEED A T-SHIRT WHEN REGISTERING BEFORE JULY 10TH** Tobacco Free Hall County, the Prevention Project and the Hall County Fair are partnering to bring a family fun day at the Hall County Fair. There will be a 1 mile walk/run that is not timed and for any age. The 5K and 10K will be timed event.s Medals are being sponsored by the Hall County Fair for the top male and female runners in the 5K and 10K.

This is the third annual Outrun Addiction - Finish with Hope and we are excited to be now partnering with the Hall County Fair. Tobacco Free Hall County's mission is to promote lives free from tobacco in all its forms and the Prevention Project's mission is to Our mission is to improve the health, well-being, and safety of Grand Island residents by working collaboratively to reduce substance abuse and challenge social norms about substance use.

Outrun Addiction-Finish with HOPE is a family fun run designed to create awareness for addiction to tobacco and/or other substances.

We at Tobacco Free Hall County and the Grand Island Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition realize that many people have been touched by addiction. We want to create a community awareness event to shed light on hope.

There will be a 1 mile fun run/walk, 5K and 10K.
Awards
Medals are being sponsored by the Hall County Fair. Medals will be awarded to the top finishers in the the men's 5K, women's 5K, men's 10K and women's 10K. Medals for 12 & Under 5K and 10K race.

There will be a BBQ event taking place, watermelon eating contest, Family Fun Zone, Nebraska Pedal Pullers (this event can qualify you for the Pedal Pullers competition at the State Fair).
Packet Pick-Up
Packets will be available for pick-up at the Hall County Fair the 11th and 12th.
Pick up in the Pinnacle Bank Building on Fonner Park. Race day pick up will be at the TFHC tent by the Aurora Cooperative building.
Thursday, 11th from 4-8:30PM
Friday, 12th from 11:00AM-2:00PM and 3:30PM-7PM
Saturday morning of race 8:00AM - 8:45AM

Outrun Addiction 5K/10K Race /1M Fun Run/Walk Release of Liability and Waiver. I clearly understand and assume all risks and wish to participate in the Outrun Addiction 5K/10K Race/1M Fun Run/Walk sponsored by the Central Nebraska Council on Alcoholism and Addictions Inc., Tobacco Free Hall County, Prevention Project, and the Hall County Fair. I agree to assume full responsibility for any loss, damage, injury, or death to my person or property resulting therefrom, and do so voluntarily. I further agree t o indemnify and hold harmless the Central Nebraska Council on Alcoholism and Addictions Inc., Tobacco Free Hall County, Prevention Project and the Hall County Fair, and all of its officers and staff from any and all liability incurred as a result of participation in the Outrun Addiction - Finish with Hope race/run. I also agree that the terms hereof shall serve as a release and assumption of risk for my family members, heirs, executors, and administrators. I expressly acknowledge and agree that there are risks involved with running in this race/run and involve the risk of property damage, injury, and death. I further express agree that the foregoing release, waiver, and indemnity agreement is intended to be as broad and inclusive as is permitted by the law of the State of Nebraska and that if any portion thereof is held invalid, it is agreed that the balance shall, notwithstanding, continue in full legal force and effect. I further agree to abide by and obey all laws, rules, and regulations, which are in effect concerning the Outrun Addiction race/run. I have read and will voluntarily sign this release and waiver of liability and indemnity agreement, and further agree that no oral representation, statements, or inducements apart from the foregoing written agreement have been made. IF YOU ARE EIGHTEEN (18) YEARS OF AGE OR YOUNGER, YOUR PARENT OR LEGAL GUARDIAN MUST SIGN THIS AGREEMENT. By signing as the parents or guardian, you acknowledge that you have read, understand, and agree with the foregoing document and consent to the participation of the above signed minor, and agree that the participant and you are bound by the terms of this agreement.
